I Did Not Sell ‘Blame It On The Money’ To D’banj – Durella

Durella and Dbanj

So remember yesterday when we reported that Ikonic Music said that Durella sold his 'Blame It On The Money' song to Dbanj? Well that might not be the case as Durella said when asked and we quote:

"I didnt sell my song to Dbanj I only played the song to his hearing once and the next thing i saw was Dbanj ft Snoop Lion, Big sean; he didnt even change the title of the song maybe cuz i told him i dont know if I should release the song or not no wonder he told me I should not release it"

Very interesting things coming up, and it will be interesting how this shakes out.

Meanwhile wasn't Durella supposed to be signing on to DB records? Make we dey watch, but the other question here is, Which version do you prefer?

I was having this argument yesterday with someone.

UNIBEN CULT CLASHES: 20 Killed, 10 arrested

uniben

he death toll in the Edo State cult clashes has increased to 20, the The PUNCH gathered on Sunday.

Also, the police in the state said they had arrested 10 persons in connection with the hostilities.

Suspected members of Eiye Confraternity and Black Axe have since last Thursday engaged one another in supremacy battle in Benin, the state capital.

Trouble, it was gathered, started last Thursday, when suspected members of the Eiye group went to the home of a member of the Black Axe to resolve issues bordering on money.

It was learnt that while discussions were ongoing, the Black Axe member allegedly brought a Pump Action gun, and shot one of the visitors on the leg.

Following this, friends of the victim later mobilised and went on a reprisal, visiting homes of suspected Black Axe members and attacking them.

The attacks, our correspondent gathered, resulted in the killing of a friend of the suspect, around the New Benin.

However, the fighting between members of the cult groups later escalated, extending to places like Idu Owena, Ugbowo, Isihor, Ugbiyoko, Textile Mill Road and in Igbesanwa with many people reported dead.

Worried by the development, Governor Adams Oshiomhole was said to have convened an emergency security meeting, where he charged security operatives to fish out the killers.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Foluso Adebanjo, who could not confirm the exact number of people killed, described the crisis as unacceptable.

He promised that the police would deal with the culprits.

He said, "We are not relaxing at all. We are in search of the leaders behind these killings. Already, we have arrested some persons in connection with the crisis while others are on the run. The killings will stop because policemen are all on the alert now.

"All security agencies in the state are concerned. The governor is equally concerned and residents of the state are concerned. So, we will not relent in stopping this madness. It is very sad that people no longer value human lives; it is sad."

Why I Don’t Wear My Wedding Ring— Desmond Elliot

Nollywood hunky actor, Desmond Elliot, has evolved in no small way in his 14-year-old career. From a 'fine', talented actor, Desmond went on to directing, which he reveals he finds fulfilling while acting is rewarding for him.

One of the ambassadors of a leading telecommunication group, Globacom, the fatherof four has carved a niche for himself which makes him one of the most sought-after by movie producers. In this interview with MERCY MICHAEL, the actor speaks on his staying power, marriage and fatherhood.

In spite of your relevance and steady rise in the industry, you are among the few stars whose marriages are intact. What do you do differently?
If you love your home, that is where your heart will be. I'm yet to see anybody who really loves his home and will want it to break. Do we have difficulties? Of course!

There is no home without its challenges, oh yes! There are times the woman is tired. There are times the man is tired too, but most importantly it's understanding yourselves. One thing I have noticed in a marriage or home is you must understand that a man is totally different from a woman.

The way a man thinks is totally different from the way a woman thinks. What a man considers his priority is almost 80 percent different from what a woman sees as her priority. And the most difficult thing in this world is a man understanding a woman. But if you understand a woman, the way they think, what tickles them, what makes them happy, simple, you will not have problems with them. Men that live very long understand that principle. I intend to live long.

What then is a woman's priority?
What is a woman's priority? A woman's priority is attention, love, but a man looks at security, a man looks at, 'I want to protect my family; I want to make sure I feed them.' If you don't have money but tell a woman 'I love you' ten million times, I'm talking of in a marriage now, and the woman sees prospect, the woman sees a hardworking man, she's okay. Give a woman what she wants, she's okay!

Tricycles Banned In Edo State

The Edo government on Sunday threatened to destroy commercial motorcycles or tricycles, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, that flouted the orders on their use.
Governor Adams Oshiomhole in a state broadcast banned the use of motorcycles and tricycles in major streets in five local government areas of the state.
The governor said the decision was painful but that it was in the overall security interest of the state, adding that the ban took effect from midnight on Sunday.
The affected local councils are Oredo, Egor, Ikpoba-Okha including Aduwawa in Uhumwode and Ekosodin in Ovia North East.

he governor also barred private owners of motorcycles from using them within those areas.
The governor appealed to the residents to comply with the directives as security agencies have been mobilised to enforce the ban.
Oshiomhole said he had discussed alternative means of livelihood with the commercial motor cyclists but warned that the measures were for those in the state only.
According to him, the government does not want to make anyone to suffer but is determined to enforce the ban.
"I advise all bike riders to comply and keep off the road. Should any bike rider flout this order, he will be dealt with ruthlessly. The bike will be confiscated and destroyed.
"In the interest of our collective security, I ask you to appreciate that this is a sacrifice that you have to make. Everyone must make sacrifice and be security conscious.
"We are currently facing security challenges across the country and the progress made in some parts of the country has its own challenges in other parts of the country.
"There will be time this issue will be resolved and everyone will be happy. Do not doubt our will to enforce this decision.
"Motorcycles will be destroyed on my orders. Keep off the roads in the stated areas.
"I care about your welfare but we are not about to replace motor bike with Keke NAPEP. Please stay out of trouble.
"It is not my wish to visit hardship on anyone. It is my duty to provide security for the people of the state. Please respect this order," he said.

Latest Report: Nelson Mandela ‘Doing Very Well’

Nelson Mandela, who has been in hospital for 10 days suffering a lung infection…CLICK HERE

"He is doing very well," Zenani Mandela-Dlamini, South Africa's ambassador to Argentina, told reporters gathered outside the Pretoria hospital treating the 94-year-old Mandela.

Earlier Monday the anti-apartheid hero's wife Graca Machel thanked the world for its messages of support which she said had eased "the burden of anxiety".
"Our gratitude is difficult to express. But the love and peace we feel give yet more life to the simple 'Thank you!'," Machel, 67, said in a message.
South Africa's first black president was rushed to a Pretoria hospital on June 8 with a recurrent lung infection and remains in a serious condition although he is said to be improving.

Mandela, who is due to celebrate his 95th birthday on July 18, has been hospitalised four times since December.
South African President Jacob Zuma said Sunday that Mandela was showing a "sustained" improvement after more than a week in hospital although his condition remained serious.

The Nobel peace laureate had appeared frail and distant in the last images broadcast of him at the end of April during a visit by Zuma and other ANC leaders.

Although he has retired from public life, Mandela is still venerated by an entire people who see him as the incarnation of the end of three centuries of white-minority rule in South Africa.
Black South Africans were able to vote for the first time in 1994.

Mandela is admired throughout the world for his lifelong sacrifice in fighting the brutal regime of racial segregation installed with apartheid in 1948, and for his role in bringing multiracial democracy to South Africa, a country many feared would disintegrate into civil war.
